Simply Sauces: Apple & Sage

Dress up your lunch with some apple and sage. One serving contains 0.8g of your daily requirement of 1.5-3g of plant stanols.

Ingredients
  • 50g
  • 450g
    cooking apples , peeled, cored & chopped
  • 3
    chopped sage leaves
  • 1 tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tbsp
    water
Method
  1. Place cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped, in a small pan with sage, sugar and water.
  2. Simmer gently for 5 minutes until pulpy.
  3. Then stir in Benecol® Buttery Taste Spread until melted.
  4. Cool slightly before serving.
