Delicious Christmas Biscuit with Benecol Effect

The holiday season is approaching and it’s a perfect time to enjoy seasonal treats. These Christmas biscuits are quick to prepare and contain lovely seasonal cinnamon and almond flavours. By adding Benecol Buttery spread in the mix, you get your daily cholesterol lowering effect from only 3 biscuits. What’s not to love!

Ingredients
  • 100g
    dried plums or other dry fruit of choice
  • 240g
    organic whole meal oats
  • 70g
    wheat flour
  • 65g
    ground almonds
  • 1tsp
    baking powder
  • 3tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1tsp
    ground clove
  • 3btsp
    ground cardamom
  • 250g
    Benecol Buttery Taste Spread
  • 160g
    caster sugar
  • 1
    egg
Method
  1. Chop dried plums into small pieces
  2. Mix dry ingredients: oats, flour, ground almonds, baking powder, spices
  3. Mix Benecol buttery spread with sugar until sugar is well melted and colour of the mix has become lighter
  4. Add egg to the mix
  5. Combine sugar & egg mix with the dry ingredients and plums and mix until even
  6. Divide mixture into 25 parts on oven paper and bake at 200c
