Can I not get enough plant stanols in my everyday diet?

  • PLANT STANOLS

It would be very hard to do so! Whilst plant stanols occur naturally in a variety of plant foods such as wheat, rye, nuts, seeds and vegetable oils, they’re only found in tiny amounts. So, even if you’re vegetarian and eat plenty of these foods, they won’t provide you with enough to actively lower your cholesterol levels.

Therefore, the only way to get enough plant stanols to get the beneficial cholesterol lowering effect is to enjoy Benecol products daily that have plant stanols added to them in large enough amounts.

Luckily, there’re lots of Benecol products to choose from to help you reach the recommended daily intake of 1.5-3.0g plant stanols.
